On March 30, Correira Law Inc. hosted a webinar focused on the use of irrevocable trusts in estate planning. The presentation covered recent Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Florida cases and statutes related to irrevocable trusts in the context of marital and credit-shelter trust planning, gifting and tax planning, asset protection and divorce planning, and Medicaid planning. In addition, the speakers discussed drafting issues and techniques, including sample trust provisions. The March 30 program was presented as a lunchtime webinar for attorneys and other professionals, and started at 12:00 p.m. The webinar was free of charge and participating attorneys received one and one-half (1.5) Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Credits.
