August 25, 2017: Florida Estate Planning Seminar, Fall River, MA

On August 25, Correira Law Inc. hosted a full day trusts and estates seminar for other professionals at the Cove Restaurant in Fall River, Massachusetts. The program was held from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., was free of charge, and included lunch. The seminar touched on a number of topics of interest to trusts and estates professionals, including not only attorneys, but also accountants, trust officers, and financial advisers.

Those unable to attend for the full day were invited to attend the afternoon session only, scheduled for 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. In the afternoon session, Attorneys David J. Correira and Eric D. Correira focused on one of the firm’s areas of specialization, estate planning for Florida snowbirds. The afternoon session included a discussion of recent updates, state estate and income tax planning techniques, homestead law differences, and other areas of concern for clients splitting their time between Florida and New England. Prior to the afternoon session, there was a buffet style lunch, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., that included a federal update. Following the afternoon session, a reception was held outside on the deck overlooking Mount Hope Bay. Professionals who attended were encouraged to invite their clients to the lunch and afternoon session.

The program was free of charge, and participating attorneys received two (2) Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Credits.
