On September 10, 2026, Attorney Eric D. Correira will speak at an in person continuing legal education (CLE) seminar presented by the Rhode Island Bar Association entitled “Elder Law Planning Across Every Stage: Part 1 – Advanced Planning.” From the Rhode Island Bar Association website: “Whether you’re a new practitioner looking for an introduction or an experienced practitioner seeking a refresher, get a detailed review of the Rhode Island Medicaid rules for long-term care, federal statutes, and relevant case law related to transfers and gifts. Following a step-by-step approach, the program will address the fundamentals of early planning, permitted transfers, basic estate planning documents, irrevocable Medicaid trusts, and special needs and disability trusts.”
The program is being held from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., lunch will be served, and it is approved for two (2) hours of CLE Credit for Rhode Island.
