On October 12, Attorney David J. Correira joined with other New England estate planning attorneys to discuss cross-border estate planning, elder law, and asset protection. The panel discussed the similarities and differences between the New England states on advanced and crisis long-term care planning, the different treatment of assets and income from state to state by Medicaid, and when moving from one state to another for long-term care can save a family’s assets.
