The program was from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., was free of charge, and included lunch. The seminar touched on a number of topics of interest to trusts and estates professionals, including not only attorneys, but also accountants, trust officers, and financial advisers. During the morning session, slated for 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Attorneys David J. Correira and Eric D. Correira provided an updated version of the firm’s popular “pearls and gems” program, covering a number of noteworthy and interesting trusts and estates cases, as well as example tax and Medicaid planning scenarios. Following the morning session, there was a buffet style lunch, that included a brief federal and state tax and Medicaid update. Finally, in the afternoon session, scheduled for 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., the attorneys focused on one of the firm’s areas of specialization, estate planning for Florida snowbirds. The afternoon session included a discussion of recent updates, state estate and income tax planning techniques, homestead law differences, and other areas of concern for clients splitting their time between Florida and New England.

The program was free of charge, and participating attorneys received four (4) Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Credits.
